The case of the ‘ghost ship’ found after nine years missing is solved

A “ghost ship” found off the coast of Thongwa, Burma, has been identified. The Sam Ratulangi PB 1600 was discovered last Thursday, adrift near Rangoon, with no crew or cargo on board. Authorities found five fishermen aboard,

who had entered the ship to inspect it for potential salvage. After investigation, it was revealed that the ship had been intended for dismantling in Bangladesh’s Chittagong ship-breaking industry, where hundreds of ships are dismantled annually.
